Week Four

Forgot some photo's I wanted to put in.  After Chigaco we visited some distant family that lived nearby.  Eli made some new friends!

So adorable!

Our time at new Staff Training is actually almost over, but I am behind.  Week four was more of the same.  Lot's of new friends, and fun on the weekends!
Our family with Fr. Bobby, newly ordained priest and friend!

Week Three

Another week full of classes, Mass, Holy Hours, fundraising and fun!  Luckily, we have all been well now and finally felt like we got a good schedule down by this week!

 Big classes!

 Mark and Me

The beautiful chapel out here!

We brought the kids to a bar again to celebrate Kate's birthday!  She is a friend, nanny for Eli while we are in class, and engaged to another missionary.  We just LOVE her (so does Eli)!

We went to Chicago and took a boat tour.  Amazing views of the city!

We were at the Navy Pier and found some fountains, Eli loves water.

Luke didn't seem to care too much.
 What a view!

Week Two

Week two we had classes on Salvation History.  Jeff Cavins, who wrote the Bible Timeline study The Great Adventure was actually here to teach us himself.  Check it out at biblestudyforcatholics.com.  The guys played soccer again, and us girls had a scavenger hunt.

Jeff Cavins!

Bath time fun! Eli gets a little dirtier here than at home.  And I think he misses his baby tub since Luke uses it now.

Over the weekend our kids had their first bar experience!  We went with everyone from FOCUS to see L'Angelus  www.langelus.com

It was crowded!

All my boys!!

The next day we took Eli on his first train ride.  He loved it and still talks about it!

Unfortunately he got sick the next day.  Poor guy, first time he ever had something besides a cold.

He does get to do some fun stuff on the week days too.  While we are in class he goes to class himself!  Salvation History for the little ones!  He has made some awesome stuff to go along!

Creation and the stars of Abraham were this week.

Week one

Okay, I know we are already on week four, but I wanted to share what we have been up to.  Our first week was crazy trying to get used to the schedule, meet a hundred new people, unpacking, and getting the kids sleeping schedule worked out.

We have men's ans women's rec nights.  Guys always play soccer.  The girls did volleyball the first week.

Eli and I explored some of the campus.  It's really beautiful.

And did some playing

I don't have pictures, but we take classes all day (week one was all about the vision of FOCUS), have a holy hour every morning, daily mass with confessions, nights where just the women and just the men get together, dinner with families only, and fun activities on the weekends.  Such a blast!  Can't wait to write about week two!
